Apple Picking Time

Windy Ridge Orchards Apple Picking
Saturday, September 10, 2011
9am – 1pm

Terramesa is sponsoring a South Peak Resort owner event! Please join us for a fun-filled day of apple picking at Windy Ridge Orchard in North Haverhill, New Hampshire. Just thirty minutes from the South Peak Resort, Windy Ridge is a family-owned farm that hosts a variety of fruits year-round. Throughout the harvest, Windy Ridge offers a total of eighteen different varieties of apples! After viewing Windy Ridge’s harvest schedule, we may have an option to pick up to six varieties: MacIntosh, Honey Crisp, Gala, Cortland, Macoun, and Spencer!

There isn’t an admittance fee for Windy Ridge “pick-your-own”, however, you can purchase the apples by the pound, after being picked. Owners and their guests are responsible for paying for their own fruit and/or merchandise.

This event and its cost are contingent on the number of reservations.
Transportation is not included.

Please RSVP to ehershey@southpeakresort.com by noon, Friday, September 2nd

Hurricane Irene- Kind to South Peak Resort

Hurricane Irene, as hurricanes go, was kind to South Peak Resort, despite some power outages. The early reports this morning from Pat Bahr, GM at South Peak, reveal that despite wind gusts there were no trees down nor was there damage to any home or building on the property. The Pemi River, on the property's north border, crested at twenty-three feet but is receding quickly. South Peak Resort on Loon Mountain fared well in foul weather. Please refer to this press release from the Town of Lincoln regarding the area and access to South Peak Resort through Cooper Memorial Bridge only.

March Madness!

Although it is technically Spring, winter is hanging on strong with temps in the 30’s and more snow anticipated this weekend! New England has been graced with a great ski and ride season, which continues on. There has been 200.5 inches of natural snow recorded at Loon so far!

The South Peak Resort Warming Hut is a great gathering place for owners, friends and family and had over 400 visitors this season. Owners enjoyed warmer temps and sunning on the deck at its closing last weekend.

The South Peak Resort owners shuttle service ended last week. There are two more days to utilize Loon’s South Peak trails, Lincoln Express Quad, Tote Road Quad, Pemigewassett Base Camp and our new homeowner lift the weekend of April 2 – 3. You can still shuttle from lodge to lodge on Loon’s regular buses, for schedule click here.

Loon Mountain's projected closing date for the season will be Sunday, April 17th, 2011. If you would like to know which trails and lifts are open at any given time, check Loon's Lift and Trail report here.

Thank you for a great winter, everyone! We really enjoyed hosting you, sharing laughs and conversation in the South Peak Resort Warming Hut, and at our Winterfest, Demo Day, and the numerous Aprés Ski gatherings.

Stop by for information and to hear of new developments any time at either of our office locations: South Peak Resort Information Center (by Loon's Octagon Lodge) and South Peak Resort Sales Center (corner of Cooper Memorial Drive and Route 112, Lincoln).
