Storytelling & S'mores This Weekend

There is still plenty of sunshine and fun in the Pemi Valley this summer! Join us Saturday, August 14th for S'mores by the Campfire and Storytelling with Shawn! Shawn is the author of the children's book "Sam and the Peanut Butter Crackers" and is a member of the National Association for the Education of Young Children & the National Association for Storytelling. He entertains and captivates children of all ages (even the really big ones!) and we're excited to have him back with us at South Peak! 10:00 a.m.- Family games at the Kanc Recreation Area in Lincoln, followed by a family BBQ

2:00 p.m.- The Parade begins at Alpine Village in North Woodstock and travels on Rt 112 through Lincoln to the Rivergreen Hotel.

7:00 p.m.- Live Concert of Patriotic Music by St. Johnsbury Band at the bandstand in Soldiers Park, North Woodstock.

9:30 p.m.- FIREWORKS DISPLAY- Downtown Lincoln. Some nice viewing areas are Hobo Railroad parking area in Lincoln or behind The Village Shops.

REMINDERS:

The Children's Theatre performs in Lincoln every Wednesday at 9:30 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. at the Governor's Lodge at Loon and every Saturday at 9:30 a.m. (July 3 is Little Red Riding Hood and July 7 & 10 is Goldilocks and the Three Bears- Tix are $6). White Mountain Cycling Classic- Saturday, June 26-New England Disabled Sports is holding their first annual White Mountain Classic Cycling Event. Part of the route will be through South Peak Community and Crooked Mountain Road. PLEASE NOTE THAT ON SATURDAY SOUTH PEAK OWNERS CAN ENTER THE COMMUNITY FROM THE COOPER BRIDGE ONLY from 8am to 4pm as the East Gate entry at South Peak will be closed to all automobile traffic for safety precautions. For more info visit www.nedisabledsports.org. All proceeds benefit New England Disabled Sports support of Wounded Warriors Programs.

For river access this summer, all owners and owner guests must park in the Visitor Parking area at the west entrance of South Peak Resort by the Cooper Memorial Bridge. The JE Henry trail starts at the bridge and runs alongside the Pemi River. There is NO PARKING at the Riverside gate or along any roadside in the community. Please make sure to tell guests and renters so they avoid being towed! Thank you for your cooperation in keeping our community safe.
