Our South Peak Resort Homeowners' Winterfest celebration was last weekend and we had perfect weather on Saturday! Many were able to experience dogsledding on the J.E. Henry Nature Trail- provided again this year by our great friends at Muddy Paw Sled Dog Kennel from Jefferson, NH. Neil and Karen (Owner/Manager/Mushers) along with Mushers Sally & Ben brought three teams of sled dogs with 6-8 dogs for each.

The sled dog breeds are a variety of Alaskan Huskies, Siberians and Malamutes. Some are rescue dogs and many have competed in the Iditarod and Quest and all have a fun, althletic and competitive nature. Muddy Paw expanded their operations this year and are now offering dogsledding tours at the Rocks Estate in Bethlehem NH, Mount Washington Resort and Smuggler's Notch, VT. Visit their website: www.dogslednh.com or give them a call if you or a friend may be interested in dogsledding tours in the White Mountains, clinics and adventures: 603-545-4533 or 603-986-0697 (these tours make a great unique gift!). If you had a chance to participate in the dogsled tour at South Peak, drop Neil or Karen a line and say hi and share your experience, they will be happy to hear from you! info@dogslednh.com .
